Samsung Galaxy S6 6.0.1 Update
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users have been enjoying the Marshmallow treat for a long time now. However, those who use Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have been waiting for the Android 6.0 update for their phones. Well, they shall not have to wait any longer as we have good news for all Samsung S6 and S6 edge users that T-Mobile has started rolling out to your phones!
Last month, T-Mobile was in the testing phase for the Marshmallow update. The testing phase for the update and the certification process both are now complete.
The update is now available to the users of Galaxy S6 to version G920TUVU3EPD1, and the Galaxy S6 edge to G925TUVU3EPD1. T-mobile has unleashed the 1.2 GB update, however; T-mobile has not yet posted the complete change log for the improvements that this update provides.
The post on T-Mobile reads
“Android 6.0 Marshmallow” with N/A in the improvement section.
We are hoping to see new features, design enhancements, Google integration and some fixes in this update.
The update will reach users all around the world in a few days and will bring improvements to the old versions as well.
Users of T-Mobile’s Galaxy S6 Edge Plus still have to wait a little while longer for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update which is still in the “Manufacturer Development” phase. Users will receive a notification when the update is available to them. If you do not want to wait for the automatic notification you can also check for the manual update.
To check for the update all you have to do is go to “Settings”, then tap on “About Phone” and finally click on “Check for updates”.
