Haunting Sounds-NEW FOR Apple TV

We’ve added the following to this previously posted article on Halloween Apps.  Shifting Blue, LLC. just released a new Apple TV version of their custom Halloween soundtrack creation app, Haunting Sounds, and the developer thought, entirely unselfishly :), that we might be interested in adding a little something Apple TV to our coverage of cool Halloween apps.  Well he was right and he has generously provided the following promo codes on a first come first serve basis.

The iPad version can be found at . The developer has generously provided the following promo codes for that one as well:

October 31st or “All Hallows Eve” will soon be upon us.  Before the costumes, the decorations, parties,  or the Trick or Treating begins, get in the mood with these spooky Halloween apps and more that are sure to delight you. There are apps to scare you, entertain you, and help you prepare for the festivities.  Here are some apps and more that we looked at, which we think are worth noting. There’s something for every Apple device.

Zombie Booth 3D

Every wonder what you or your friends would like if you were Zombies. Now you can realize the zombie inside you with the touch of a button.  Zombie Booth 3D utilizes your iPhone/iPad FaceTime camera and some cool effects to make you look like a cast member from “Night of the Living Dead.”

Halloween Spooky Sound Box

This app really gets the Halloween mood going with real scary sound effects.  Connect your device to external speakers and turn the volume up.  Then tap away when your Trick or Treaters knock on your door.

Magic Oracle Prophecy Pro…

…for iPhone and Apple Watch. Turn you Apple Watch into a magic ball and play with your fate this Halloween season.  Just tap you Apple Watch or shake your iPhone for a future telling.

Halloween Fonts

With this font collection, you’re all set to create Halloween cards, banners, decorations, and more. I’ll be using “Bloody Blessing” myself. A nice shade of red should do the trick.

Color By Numbers – Halloween Games

Also available on iPad, this paint by numbers app really captures the Halloween mood and is perfect for the little ones who can’t carve a pumpkin but wants to participate.  Match the paint numbers with the corresponding areas on the image for some fun Halloween art.  The free version on offers two images.  The full version offers considerably more for $3.99.

Spooky Runes

An absolutely addicting game.  Find a match, rotate, and position tiles on a board to make them disappear. Cast a spell on the board as you gain magic powers to make even more disappear.  Great fun for Halloween or anytime.

All Hallows Eve

A collection of short stories from writers from all over the world that banded together to “scare your pants off”.  It’s fun and Free.

Other titles that look promising:

Halloween’s Perfect Storm

Short Story Strands: Halloween 2012 Edition

13 on Halloween

Halloween’s Perfect Storm

There are Audio Books in the Halloween category as well.  Having one scary story narrating in the background during your Halloween party might be a nice added touch to a fright-filled evening.

I’m thinking Michael Jackson’s Thriller is a must have for Halloween.

Of course, if your thinking about hunkering down at home on Halloween, there are lots of movies in the iTunes Store for rent or purchase that will curdle your blood.

Be Safe—Have Fun—and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
