This is an exciting time in Las Vegas.  The whole city is preparing for what can be considered the greatest show on earth for consumer electronics and the latest in the world of technology.  This coming week Las Vegas is hosting CES 2018—a major event that will bring about a quarter million visitors, exhibitors, press and more to the Las Vegas Convention Center, The Sands Convention Center and various strip resort hotels. This event provides a huge economic boon to the area and serves as the showplace for the latest technology and consumer electronics. Here’s a preview of a few of the products that will be at CES 2018.

SwellPro is the leader in waterproof drones and is one of the many exhibitors that will be at CES 2018. The Splash Drone 3 is their latest integrated modular waterproof drone. Check out their video.

Next up is MemoBird—a tiny printer that prints those little personal notes or lists we used to write by hand. Bluetooth and WiFi enabled so you can print that note to someone at home while you’re away. This is a good way to message aging parents who are not tech savvy and are with a smartphone. MemoBird uses heat to print so no ink cartridges are necessary. Check it out.

Robotics are sure to consume a fair amount of show floor space this year.  There should be lots to see based on all the advancements in AI and machine learning. One of the major players is QIHAN and its famous SandBot.

In the Green Technology sector, CES will be hosting LightSaver Portable Power. This is a lightweight, retractable, portable solar screen that captures sunlight and converts it to usable power stored in an 18000 mah battery when off the grid or on the trail. It includes a 3 amp USB-C port, dual 2.5 USB ports, and flashlight and a 12-volt input.

This is just a small sample of the innovative consumer electronics we’ll see at CES 2018. The auto, entertainment, smart home, health & fitness and many more industries will be well represented.  This will be a busy and interesting week and we will bring our picks to you throughout the week and throughout the month of January.
