Snapchat is one of the most widely popular social media apps. Users not only enjoy taking photos and videos using filters of the day but they also enjoy getting a sneak peak into the life of their favorite celebrities.
However, users often find it difficult to search for their favorite celebrity username. For instance, Kylie Jenner a.k.a the Snapchat Queen’s username is “kylizzlemynizzl” which is very hard to find. Snapchat has introduced a new feature that will make it easier for users to find and follow verified accounts.
This feature is available in the Official Live Stories. The new feature has already begun to roll out.
How the New Feature Works
Whenever a celebrity is featured in a Live story user’s will see the celebrities account in the top left corner. To add the celebrity to your friend list tap on their username.
Hence, the new feature allows users to add their favorite celebrities without having to search Google for their usernames. For example, if you want to add Jimmy Fallon to your contact list all you have to do is go to Pokémania Live Story. You will see his username displayed on the top left corner as he is a part of the Live Story.
However, it is worth pointing out that this feature does not violate users privacy. Since live Stories will only display verified usernames and not random users. Hence, Snapchat allows celebrities to enjoy added exposure without violating random users privacy.
This is not the only change as a part of the update. The Snapchat (version 18.104.22.168) adds memories feature to the app which makes images and videos more permanent. This feature allows users to share saved images and videos at a later time. They could also use the saved images to show friends moments of an event.
As we mentioned earlier, the app is widely popular and these additions definitely allow the app to evolve even more.
