Pyramid: A Part of History and the Future

Pyramids

Geometry

Geometry is one of those branches of mathematics, which is used regularly. First of all, let’s discuss what geometry is about. It is that branch of mathematics that deals with shapes, angles, and sizes. It is a necessary subject for a student who wants to pursue a career as an architect. The shapes can be three-dimensional or two-dimensional like cube, square, etc. The use of shapes can be observed everywhere. Geometry is not only about talking about simple shapes like squares and taking out their area and perimeter, but it also deals with taking the volume of complex figures too, just like taking out the volume of pyramid or volume of a prism. Geometry is one of the vital topics which indeed is needed for a vital future.

Math has been one of the most ancient and important topics of all time. The use and demand of mathematics are not going from now. Mathematics is that part that is taught to students from early childhood till the post-graduation period. It is one of those subjects from which students fear the most. If a student works hard and practices regularly, he can achieve great heights. Mathematics is an integral aspect of all academic fields and includes a wide range of topics. It is frequently used to solve problems in daily life

Pyramids

First of all, let’s discuss what a pyramid is, it is a polyhedron, whose base is a triangle or square. It consists of four faces, including the top point that is an apex and consists of six edges.

Generally, To conclude about the faces, edges, and vertices, we can say that for a pyramid of base n, The edges that will be observed will be 2n, The vertices of the pyramid will be n+1.

Let’s take an example of a hexagonal pyramid, It consists of six sides, so, n will be six, the edges that will be seen will be twelve and the vertices of the hexagonal pyramid will be seven.

Let’s discuss the location of the centroid of the pyramid. It is located on that line segment of the pyramid that joins the apex of the pyramid to the centroid of the base of the triangle.

The surface area of the pyramid is equal to the summation of the area of the base of the pyramid and half of the multiplication of the perimeter of the base and slant height of the pyramid.

To be more precise,

The surface area of the pyramid = B+½(PL)

Where p is the perimeter of the base.

B is the area of the base.

L is the length of slant height of the pyramid.

where l is the square root of summation of square of height and square of inradius of the pyramid.

The volume of the pyramid is equal to one-third of the multiplication of base and height. To be more precise, it is equal to ⅓ *b*h where b and h are the base and height of the pyramid respectively.

There are two more sub-parts of a pyramid in which it can be categorized as like

  1. Regular pyramid
  2. Irregular pyramid

A pyramid whose base is a regular shape like a square, the hexagon can be categorized as the regular pyramid whereas the pyramid whose base sides are of unequal measure and whose angles are not of equal measure is considered as an irregular pyramid.

These were some basic things regarding the pyramid.

Therefore, cuemath is very important because it brings peace of mind in the form of a solution. It not only provides information on a few topics but it has a wide range of topics. Cuemath is the name of a math website that makes an honest effort to offer the ideal response to this difficult issue.
