New and Improved Microsoft Outlook for Apple Watch and more…

microsoft outlook for apple watch

The new Microsoft app looks and feels stellar and is an update worthy of the name. The latest features to adorn Microsoft Outlook for Apple Watch include the handy ability to reply to emails directly from your wrist with standard text or emojis, which allows the wearer much-improved flexibility in comparison to the past where the app would only allow users to check the status of their emails but not to reply to them.

Outlook 1.3.5 for the iOS with its rich functionality can be used to keep track of appointments and incoming emails and allows you to juggle many types of notifications with a fluid ease. This is illustrated by the  glance view which shows you the most important emails and upcoming calendar appointments by swiping on your watch face from the bottom of the screen. If you’re in a rush and need to reply quickly the app also offers an array of canned responses but unfortunately for those that prefer a more personal touch these cannot be customized using the accompanying Watch app for your phones. No need to worry though, if built-in responses aren’t suitable for the context of your reply you can use emoji or dictate your response using Siri’s speech-to-text function.

Notifications have been given a fine-tune also which boost the users efficiency further. When Outlook buzzes your wrist you can choose to archive a message or schedule it for later all from a singular device with no need to switch to the accompanying app on your phone.

Lastly, notifications show a greater portion of the emails and allow the notifications that hit your wrist to be filtered further from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and when the notification is clicked it readily opens the full e-mail on the Apple Watch app.
