Email Software

email Software

To work with e-mail, you need special programs that determine different types of connections to the mail server. These programs work with different system shells and have different capabilities. The best email marketing software and programs provide automatic communication with the server. Such a program itself connects to the server, sends and receives mail. The user is waiting for the result. He can work with correspondence in the disconnected mode from the server. This is an economically feasible option of work since when connecting via a dial-up line, the client pays for the connection time. If it is necessary to check the mail in the mailbox or send a message, the user must connect to the server again.

Main features

Internet mail programs provide the ability to write messages while in a session with the server, order news, report information to the authors of Wed-sites. You can receive mail and at the same time search for information on the network.

E-mail programs perform functions such as preparing and processing words, reading, deleting, forwarding correspondence, entering addresses and message topics, converting sent files into the desired format. Any e-mail program has a built-in text editor for processing messages. Many programs exchange ASCII text. However, other encodings are also common.

Messages in national languages transmitted using different encodings are not always readable in other systems. Texts created by email editors are sent as messages. If they are created in other editors, you need to take care that the recipient can read them and send them as a file and not as a message – only if you are sure that the recipient can open them in the same application.

All mail messages related to this user are stored in four:

  • Incoming
  • Outgoing
  • Sent
  • Deleted

After reading from the server, the mail arrives in the Inbox folder. After reading, it remains in the same place but is already marked as read. The Deleted Items folder stores messages that have been deleted by the user. It needs to be cleaned. Messages that the user has created to send are displayed in the Outbox folder. At the moment of connecting to the server, the message is moved to the Sent Items folder. If the communication session was unsuccessful, the message will remain in the Outbox folder.

The envelope

In order for the letter to reach the addressee, you need to put it in an envelope, write the address and send it by mail. The addressee, having received the letter, in addition to his address, will find on the envelope some additional data that may be useful.

By analogy with an envelope, each letter received by e-mail is provided with a “header” that has the same meaning. Depending on which telecommunications system is used, the structure of the address may look different.

The user to whom the message is being sent, invisible to the addressee, a copy of the letter. There may be several such lines or not a single one. The next line indicates the content of the letter, its title (sometimes this is done with regular letters, for example, in the case when the organization requires to mark the letters sent to it with some short message, for example, “For a competition”). The penultimate line contains the message identifier, its unique number. If this letter is sent in response to some other letter, then the number of this original letter is indicated in the last line. For initial, initiative letters, this line is absent.

However, the exact order of the message header lines can vary from system to system. In addition to CRM software, additional lines can be added to the header, for example, Importance – the importance of the message.
