Twitter is well known as one of the top social networking websites in the world. With A Global Ranking Of 11 and with over 330 million active users there’s no doubt that you’ve likely heard of this social network; you might even have a Twitter account. It’s come along way since it’s early days of short text posts of just 140 characters. Every day more and more people are using Twitter to share a funny picture, videos, and links. Often times you might want to download some of these types of media and save them for viewing at a later date or maybe for sharing on WhatsApp or Instagram? Thankfully there are a few ways to download these types of files to your smartphone, tablet or PC. Twitter doesn’t have a native way to download files but there are third-party apps that allow you do just that. So today I am going to show you how to download Twitter videos and GIF’s using software and non-software solutions.

Using Software

There are many software options available when you visit the android store. My favorite option an app by Kegof. This app has the highest rating among all the different Twitter downloaders at 4.7 out of 5.

Step #1 Head over to the app store and Install the Kegof app on your phone.

Step #2 Open up the Twitter app on your phone and finding the Tweet containing the video you want to download.

Step #3 Once you’ve found the Tweet, click on the downward arrow in the top right corner and then hit the “Copy link to Tweet” button. This will copy the link to the clipboard on your phone.

Step #4 Open up the app you downloaded in step one and paste the link into the field in the app and click the download button. Ignore the ads that are displayed below the buttons.

Step #5 The app will then display a few download options that you can select from. Click any of the download buttons and save the files to your phone.

Using A Web App

The software mentioned above works great and is an excellent solution if you don’t mind installing third party software on your phone. For me, I like to install as little software as possible to keep my phone running fast and to alleviate the possibility of my personal information being stolen. Thankfully there are many web tools which allow you to download Twitter videos and I’m going to show you one now.

Step #1 Start off by having a link to the Tweet that contains the video you want to download. You can follow steps 2 and 3 above to accomplish this. Once you have the link open up your favorite browser and visit twoffline.net.

Step #2 Paste the video link that you copied into the field on the homepage. Tap on the “Get video” button to start the process.

Step #3 The page will reload and present you with a few download options. Select the file you would like to download by clicking on the download links. The whole process couldn’t get more simple and personally this is my preferred approach.

Conclusion

There you have it. Two really good ways to download your beloved Twitter videos to your phone. The second method should work on all devices since it’s a browser-based web app. Let me know what your thoughts are by leaving a comment. Thanks!
