The third-biggest smartphone manufacturer, Huawei is burning the midnight oil. The company is currently making great devices, including P9 and P9 Plus. Both which had a great design, excellent quality and a price tag that is more affordable when compared to some competitors.
Everyone is looking forward to seeing what Huawei will bring to the market this year. Huawei will soon announce the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. These two will go straight into competition with other flagship smartphones we’re desperately waiting to see in 2017. These include the Samsung Galaxy’s S8 and LG G6 and even Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone 8.
As always, whenever a new phone comes out, we get to hear loads of rumors. In regards to the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, we have decided to jot them down all here for you. We know that you want to know when the devices will be released, what they will look like, what will they offer specs-wise, and how much they cost and so much more. Let’s now take a look.
The P9 and P9 Plus were officially announced at the beginning of April last year and were available for sale soon after. But this time around, Huawei will likely speed things up because we all know the market is filled with competition.
Announcement Didn’t Come
The good news is that the company had sent out press invites for the big event that took place in Barcelona on February 26, a day before Mobile World Congress officially started.
Huawei said that the event will feature “the global unveiling of a new flagship device.” That didn’t happen and we are still guessing when it will ship. Interestingly Vodafone mention’s March 31, 2017, on its pre-order page for the release of the P10.
Release Before The Competition
It looks like Huawei is going to go for the same strategy as LG in 2017. The company wants to get its flagship devices on the market before its rivals even think of doing that. The rivals, mainly include Samsung, which is all set to release the Galaxy S8 in April.
Launching earlier means less competition. The strategy sure does sounds great, but it is hard to say how well it will work in the real world market. Those who are in the market for a new smartphone and are eager to get their hands on the Galaxy S8 and are loyal to Samsung would have no issues waiting for their dream phone.
We are certainly not sure about how much the smartphones will cost. But we can make an estimate keeping in mind that when launched, the 32 GB Huawei P9 retailed for €599, while the 64 GB option was priced at €649. While the bigger version costs a hundred euros more.
Huawei’s to-be-released devices are expected to run Android 7.0. Nougat. We are sure that the company will add its own EMUI 5.0 user interface
This might come across as a turn-off but, the design is expected to be very similar to P8 and P9. For those of you who might own them already, you might not want to buy a similar looking phone again. Nevertheless, we wish Huawei the best of luck for the new release.
