5 Hanukkah Gifts For Dad

Although gifts are not historically part of the Hanukkah celebrations, like Christmas, they have grown to be a part of it over the years.

Everyone loves giving gifts. It shows your family members that you appreciate them and want to spoil them once in a while – even if it’s just with a new pair of socks!

With this being said, the art of giving a good gift is not exactly easy. Many members of the family can be a little tricky to get presents for, and none more so than our beloved fathers.

It wouldn’t be surprising if there was a statistic out there saying at least 97% of the human population struggle to get their dad a good gift. They’re notoriously difficult to buy for, especially if they do not have any nailed-down hobbies.

Having said this, if you are struggling to think of anything, don’t panic. All is not lost. There are good Hanukkah gifts out there that could be perfect for your dad. You just have to look for them. To give you an idea, here are five options that might work this Hanukkah:

Silver Jewellery

If you’re struggling to think of a good gift for your dad, it’s because you really care about what you get him. With this in mind, a good way to get out of a rut is to say “frig it” and really go all out. If your dad likes his jewellery, then go for a silver judaica jewellery piece – such as a new bracelet or ring. This will be a great way to show him how much he means to you and the family. If this is a bit out of the price range, club around your siblings or other family members and get him the present together.

Hanukkah Tie

Because what dad doesn’t love walking around in his very own Hanukkah outfit? If your dad is like many other dads out there, this will inevitably involve a tie. If you’ve noticed your dad’s tie collection is getting a little samey, however, then some Hanukkah-themed ties – or bow ties – can be a perfect, fun treat which will get him ready for the Hanukkah season.

A Hanukkah Bottle Opener

It seems to be the role that most dads across the world take on during Hanukkah: the giver of kosher beer and wine. With this in mind, a perfect present for Hanukkah could be a specialised bottle opener – made just for dad – so that they can fulfil their self-designated role in style.

A Special Menorah

Menorahs are obviously a very important part of Hanukkah. In this way, purchasing a special silver menorah, which is both beautiful and unique, could be a great way to both respects the holiday and serve as a good present for your dad.

Hanukkah Portrait

With a number of Hanukkahs under your belt, you’ve probably got a fair few Hanukkah photographs, including ones with the family gathered together. Whilst it’s fine to simply keep these photographs on social media or in your own photo album, you have no idea how happy it would make your dad see one of these photographs placed into a beautiful frame and presented just to him. This is a way to say thank you for all those memories, allowing him to place them on the wall and be reminded of his family and all the happy times whenever he looks at them.
