Xiaomi Mi 6 Premium Variant Rumors

At the Mobile World Conference 2017 in Barcelona, the Xiaomi Mi 6 was rumored to be launched, however, it was not launched at the MWC. Some features like Dual-Edge Curved Screen, Ceramic Body, 6GB RAM of the upcoming phone got leaked. We’ll discuss that in a moment.

Display and Design

Rumors suggest that the phone will be available in three variants. The most expensive one will sport a dual-edged curved screen, with 6GB of RAM, and a ceramic body. The other two flat-screen variants will be available with 4GB of RAM.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Key Specifications

Out of the three variants, one will sport a MediaTek Helio X30 processor. The other two will sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. The most premium variant will sport the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and a dual-edged curved screen. This is similar to the design loved by Samsung nowadays.

Camera

As for optics, all the variants of Xiaomi’s latest release are expected to sport a 12-megaixel rear camera with Sony’s IMX362 sensor. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will pack a huge 3000mAh battery, and run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat (with the MIUI 9 skin on top).

Storage

People who are in need of some extra storage space will love this phone as the report states that the Mi 6 smartphone will be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage capacity options, however lower storage options should also be made available for the consumers who think otherwise.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Launch

While the Xiaomi Mi 6 was expected to launch at MWC 2017, Samsung reportedly promised the first supply of the latest Snapdragon 835 chipsets. This is followed by LG for the LG G6. Thus, the release of the Xiaomi MI 6 is now expected to be soon after the launch of the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. Most probably sometime in March or April, which means that you will have to wait just a little more.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Price

As for Xiaomi Mi 6 price, the variant with MediaTek processor will be priced at $290.74 which converts to 1999 Yuan, or £236.57, or 273.40 Euros or Rs. 19,800.

The version with the Snapdragon 835 SoC will be priced atThe Mi 6 Standard may come in at $363.46 which converts to 2499 Yuan, or £295.74, or 341.61 Euro or Rs. 24,800.

The third Mi 6 version with the dual-edged curved display and the latest Snapdragon processor will be priced at $436.19 or 2999 Yuan, or £354.97 or 410.01 Euro or RS. 29,800.

Previous reports also claim that the curved screen variant is tipped to be called the Mi 6 Pro.

If we believe the rumors then we are expecting a phone which is made for people who would want some good features such as improved battery life and a good camera but at the same time are on a budget.
